About The Position

HealthPro Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist in New Orleans, LA! This is a part-time, W-2 position servicing grades K-8th at 1 school, one day per week. HealthPro Pediatrics is a leader in pediatric therapy, providing a purpose-driven environment where skills and compassion make a difference. They focus on empowering children, supporting families, and fostering growth in Special Education, ABA, and Speech, Physical, and Occupational therapy.

Requirements

Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
