This is primarily a Pediatric Position. The Speech Language Pathologist provides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with feeding deficits and speech, language deficits. This role covers both Inpatient (IP) and Outpatient (OP) settings. The professional gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring and care, and effective communication. The role adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. The Speech Language Pathologist also assists with clinical supervision of assistants and aides, and serves as a clinical instructor for assigned students. This role is looking for experience in NICU, PICU, PEDs, IP and OP with a strong focus on feeding. Some limited speech/language cognitive therapy IP only is also included.
