Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem
About The Position
AtlantiCare Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is opening a new 60-bed medical rehabilitation hospital in August 2026. This hospital will serve patients in southeastern New Jersey and will be led by a physiatrist. The team includes rehabilitation nurses, physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists, dietitians, case managers, and other clinical and support staff. The hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals with a wide range of medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas.
Requirements
- Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
- Certified CLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required
Nice To Haves
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
- Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
- Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities.
- Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
- Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
- Coordinate treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services as available community resources.
