About The Position
We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team for a renewable contract position at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY. This role is ideal for a local candidate with travel experience or a traveler seeking a stable assignment. The position involves providing comprehensive evaluations and evidence-based therapy to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
Requirements
- Active Kentucky Speech Pathologist license
- At least 1 year of travel experience
- IPR and acute care skill level experience
- AHA BLS certification
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and rehabilitation goals
- Provide intensive, evidence-based therapy for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, or surgery
- Documenting patient progress and updates
