About The Position

We are seeking a passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our MedCare Pediatric team. This role focuses on providing one-on-one patient care in a home health setting, helping children improve communication skills and reach their potential. The position offers a flexible schedule with opportunities for full-time, part-time, or PRN employment, including weekday, after-school, and Saturday availability. The role involves conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, providing therapy for communication, articulation, language development, feeding, and swallowing skills, monitoring progress, educating families, collaborating with a team, and completing documentation.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
  • Current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license, or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date
  • One year of experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
  • Experience supervising assistants is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on each child's unique needs
  • Provide speech therapy services addressing communication, articulation, language development, feeding, and swallowing skills
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to support continued growth
  • Educate families and caregivers on strategies to promote carryover at home
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated, high-quality care
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
