About The Position
Theracare is seeking a PRN Speech/Language Pathologist to work in a skilled nursing facility as part of a dedicated therapy team, with access to local regional management staff for support. The clinician evaluates and treats patients, in accordance with physician orders, using therapeutic procedures to address speech, language, swallowing, and hearing disorders and disabilities from a variety of causes. The role provides therapy-team support and information within the Speech/Language Pathology area. Services may be provided in skilled nursing, outpatient, long-term care, or home health settings.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Current state license or certification.
- Excellent oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to provide therapy services in skilled nursing, outpatient, long-term care, or home health settings.
- Competency in applying the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in the specific therapy discipline.
- Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Prefer a minimum of one year of experience in rehabilitation.
