About The Position

Achieve Beyond is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join their team in Fairfax, VA. This role involves helping children with special needs reach their goals by providing evaluations and ongoing services in homes, community, and clinic settings. They offer ABA, Speech, Occupational, Social Work, and Physical therapy, as well as Special Education/SEIT services, serving children and families in various regions including the Virginia/DC area.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Must possess VA state license to practice Speech Therapy

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years of experience working with children birth – 21 is preferred, we are open to training new graduates
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Work involves developmental screening/assessment, speech therapy services and consultation with family members and other professionals working with the family.
• Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over at community settings.
• Work is performed in clinic based settings
• Follow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interprets goals and treatment plan to parents and makes recommendations for further developmental assessments as needed
• Participate in monthly agency staff meeting
• Prepares progress reports at six month intervals and annual reviews
• Maintains client records and submit them to agency within established deadlines.
• Other duties assigned by immediate supervisor within scope of work.
