About The Position

Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center providing a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Denver and the surrounding region. It is the home base for Flight For Life Colorado and features four trauma rooms, including the T-10 room, a dedicated field-to-surgery suite ready 24/7. The hospital achieved Magnet designation in 2023 and holds numerous other awards and accreditations. The role of a Speech Language Pathologist involves providing a continuum of services to patients with neurological, swallowing, speech-language, cognitive, pragmatic, voice, and other cognitive-related disorders through an interdisciplinary approach. The pathologist utilizes the rehab process to promote and restore optimal health and well-being of the patient and assumes personal accountability for the organizational mission and core values.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in speech-language therapy with a Certificate of Clinical Competence
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Current Speech Language Pathologist Certification with the State of Colorado
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of work experience providing direct patient care in an inpatient or outpatient setting preferred
  • Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR), preferred

Responsibilities

  • Act responsible for a continuum of services providing care to patients with neurological, swallowing, speech-language, cognitive, pragmatic, voice and other cognitive related disorders requiring intervention by a Speech-Language Pathologist through an interdisciplinary approach.
  • Utilizes rehab process to promote and restore optimal health to well-being of the patient.
  • Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.
