Speech-Language Pathologist
About The Position
This is a full-time, onsite position for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving elementary students in grades 3-5 for the 2026-2027 school year. The role is based in Gurnee, Illinois, with a schedule from August 17, 2026, to May 27, 2027. The SLP will manage an approximate caseload of 30 students in a diverse, multicultural school community. The caseload includes students in a high-needs classroom utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), students receiving RTI speech-language services, and a variety of other speech and language needs. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers.
Requirements
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Current Illinois IDFPR Speech-Language Pathology License required
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

- School-based experience is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and provide individualized therapy services
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on students' communication needs
- Support students using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems
- Participate in RTI initiatives and provide early intervention support
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Attend IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
