Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist License.
  • Valid Ohio Professional Pupil Services License.
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Knowledge of Ohio special education laws, IDEA, and best practices in school-based speech-language services.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to analyze student data and use it to guide instruction and intervention.
  • Successful completion of required state and federal background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to students with IEPs using evidence-based practices.
  • Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and assessments to identify student needs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, progress reports, and other required special education documentation.
  • Coordinate speech and language referrals and participate in IAT, ETR, and IEP meetings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, intervention specialists, administrators, and families to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and organizational special education requirements.
  • Foster positive relationships with students and families through ongoing communication and advocacy.
