Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist License.
- Valid Ohio Professional Pupil Services License.
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Knowledge of Ohio special education laws, IDEA, and best practices in school-based speech-language services.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to analyze student data and use it to guide instruction and intervention.
- Successful completion of required state and federal background checks.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students with IEPs using evidence-based practices.
- Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and assessments to identify student needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, progress reports, and other required special education documentation.
- Coordinate speech and language referrals and participate in IAT, ETR, and IEP meetings.
- Collaborate with teachers, intervention specialists, administrators, and families to support student success.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and organizational special education requirements.
- Foster positive relationships with students and families through ongoing communication and advocacy.
