About The Position

The Speech Language Pathologist role evaluates, plans, and provides therapy for speech/language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Seeking an adult and pediatric speech pathologist. Caseload would be split 50/50. SLP will have ability to treat various speech disorders from birth to 18 for pediatric clients. Experience with school age children preferred. Adult experience treating cognitive communication, language, voice, swallowing, fluency, and speech.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Speech Pathology required
  • Must have a valid Indiana Speech Language Pathologist license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence Required
  • Must be knowledgeable in anatomy/physiology, evaluation and therapy, theoretical concepts and techniques, current materials and technological advances, and new professional trends.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with school age children preferred.
  • Previous SLP experience with Adults and Pediatrics in an Outpatient area preferred.
  • Unable to accept Clinical Fellows at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Treats cognitive communication, language, voice, swallowing, fluency, and speech for adult clients.
  • Effectively provides quality service to impaired individuals.
  • Communicates effectively with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians, and all internal/external customers.
  • Incorporates a basic understanding of the behaviors, developmental needs, physical needs, emotional needs, and comfort of the child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient.
