The Speech Language Pathologist will support clients receiving specialized assessment, intervention and interdisciplinary coordination for cleft lip and palate/craniofacial disorders. Working with a dental treatment program, children are seen from birth (or pre-birth if a cleft palate is diagnosed prenatally) to 21 years of age. Additionally, this position will provide intervention to school-aged and preschool children with developmental, and/or neurological disabilities with a range of communication and speech and language delays and disorders. The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing multi-disciplinary assessment, parent-mediated and individual and group child interventions and community consultation. Mentoring is available in all areas of practice. Therapy sessions may be conducted on-site or in the community.
