UF Health Jacksonville invites applications for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team at the UF Health Jacksonville Leon L. Haley Jr., M.D., Brain Wellness Center. The Haley Brain Wellness Program is a specialized treatment program for military veterans, first responders, and adults experiencing persistent health issues associated with mild to moderate traumatic brain injury (TBI). As part of the Avalon Action Alliance, the Brain Wellness Center delivers interdisciplinary, holistic care through collaboration with more than 15 disciplines. We are seeking an SLP who will provide advanced evaluation and treatment for adults with mild to moderate TBI, with a primary focus on cognitive-communication rehabilitation. In this role, the SLP will conduct comprehensive assessments and implement individualized, evidence-based interventions to address impairments in attention, memory, executive function, problem-solving, and social communication. Treatment plans emphasize functional recovery, resilience, and reintegration into complex real-world roles, including work, community engagement, and interpersonal relationships. The SLP will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team—including physicians, neuropsychologists, physical and occupational therapists, and other specialists—to ensure therapy is fully integrated into personalized, holistic care plans. By providing expert intervention, patient and family education, and team-based collaboration, the SLP will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their recovery goals and enhance their quality of life on their post-trauma journey.
