Speech Language Pathologist
About The Position
SchoolHouse Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join one of our outstanding school district partners in Plainfield, Illinois for the 2026–2027 school year. As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, you'll collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to develop individualized treatment plans that support student growth and academic achievement.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License (if applicable).
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Nice To Haves
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are encouraged to apply if district eligible.
- Previous school-based experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on evaluation results and IEP goals.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and families to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility, goal development, and progress reporting.
- Maintain accurate documentation, therapy notes, Medicaid billing (if applicable), and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
- Promote functional communication skills that support academic, social, and emotional development.
