About The Position
We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team! In this role, you’ll work with residents in a skilled nursing setting to support speech, communication, cognition, and swallowing needs. This is a great opportunity for both experienced clinicians and Clinical Fellows (CFs) who are looking to build strong clinical skills in a supportive, team-focused environment. You’ll play a key role in helping residents regain independence, improve their quality of life, and feel confident in their daily interactions.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility for licensure) in Oregon
- Clinical Fellows (CFs) with an active interim license are strongly encouraged to apply
- Supervision provided in accordance with state and ASHA guidelines
- Valid CPR certification required
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation setting preferred
- Experience evaluating and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders is preferred
- Experience working with geriatric populations is highly valued
- New graduates are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and create personalized treatment plans
- Provide hands-on therapy focused on communication, cognition, and swallowing
- Track progress and adjust care plans to support meaningful outcomes
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises and strategies
- Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner
- Collaborate closely with nursing and therapy teams to provide well-rounded care
- Create a supportive, encouraging environment for your patients every day
