About The Position
The Speech-Language Pathologist works with students at Menta Tech Academy to provide speech-language assistance in accordance with their IEPs. The role supports a remote student population and is performed independently from a remote location. Staff hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, following a 10-month school calendar. Menta Tech Academy is a virtual K–12 school that uses technology to provide a flexible, personalized learning environment. Students learn through live virtual classes, video lectures, discussion boards, one-on-one sessions, and online collaborative activities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited university program.
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license from IDFPR.
Nice To Haves
- Clinical Competency Certification (CCC) is preferred; candidates in a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are welcome.
Responsibilities
- Provide educational direction and support to students when they experience confusion, frustration, or emotional upset.
- Develop and update IEP goals and progress reports for the student caseload.
- Provide speech-language-related service minutes as specified in students’ IEPs.
- Maintain accurate related-service logs and update them weekly.
- Work independently from a remote location to support a remote student population.
