About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to join its Rehabilitation Services team. The role provides speech therapy services to acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient patients in accordance with medical center and/or department policies and procedures. The position supports quality care for individuals and families and participates in planning, implementing, and evaluating quality assurance programs. The team uses specialized programming and an interdisciplinary approach to help patients return to productive lifestyles.

Requirements

Current Speech-Language Pathologist licensure or provisional permit issued by the state of employment (Idaho or Oregon).
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network at hire, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
At least 1 year of experience with swallowing disorders, or extensive dysphagia management experience obtained through internship or externship programs.

Nice To Haves

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Previous experience in acute care or rehabilitation settings.
Active membership in ASHA.
