About The Position

Home of Guiding Hands is seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to join their Infant Development Assessments (IDA) team. This role involves completing developmental evaluations for infants and toddlers from birth to age 3 who may have developmental delays. The position requires meeting with families in their homes and community settings, conducting assessments, preparing reports, and developing recommendations to connect children with necessary services. The role is part-time with flexible scheduling and offers competitive hourly pay.

Requirements

  • Current California Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Experience working with children from birth to age 3, especially those with developmental delays or at risk for developmental disabilities.
  • Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Complete developmental and speech-language assessments for infants and toddlers.
  • Meet with families and assessment partners to coordinate appointments.
  • Prepare detailed evaluation reports and required documentation.
  • Assist with Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
  • Maintain assessment materials and complete documentation within required timelines.
  • Travel throughout San Diego or Imperial County to conduct assessments in homes and community locations.
