About The Position

Edgefield Post Acute is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Part Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. This role focuses on helping residents regain communication skills, improve swallowing function, build confidence, and reconnect with loved ones. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current state Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping others thrive.

Nice To Haves

  • CCC-SLP preferred (Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply!)
  • Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience is a plus—but not required!

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that maximize independence and quality of life.
  • Assess and treat swallowing disorders to help residents eat and drink safely.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and families to provide exceptional resident-centered care.
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Celebrate every milestone and encourage residents as they achieve meaningful goals.
