About The Position
Legacy Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a PRN opportunity at Hamlet at Chargin Falls. The role provides rehabilitation services to senior residents, including assessment and treatment of swallowing disorders and communication and cognitive impairments. The SLP develops individualized treatment goals and programs based on clinical evaluations, provides care under medical orders, and coordinates with the care team. Treatment is delivered one-on-one using a functional-based approach. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend or holiday requirements.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited graduate program in speech-language pathology.
- Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist, or ability to obtain one before beginning employment.
- Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication and cognitive impairments using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Establish treatment goals and develop and implement appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs based on full clinical evaluations.
- Provide rehabilitative services under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team.
- Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate patients’ plans of care.
- Provide individualized, one-on-one treatment sessions using a functional-based treatment approach.
