About The Position

This is a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position covering an FMLA leave. The role involves providing speech-language therapy services to students across PreK-12th grade in various settings including a specialized day school, high school, and preschool services. The position requires conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, participating in IEP meetings, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support student success. The duration of this assignment is from February 1, 2027, to May 21, 2027.

Requirements

• Active Illinois IDFPR Speech-Language Pathologist license required
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
• Experience working with students with diverse communication needs is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy services to students across PreK–12th grade
• Support students at a specialized day school with individualized communication needs
• Provide services to high school students in a school-based setting
• Assist with preschool walk-in screenings and evaluations as needed
• Conduct speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers to support student success
• Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans based on individual needs
