About The Position

This is a 1.0 FTE Long-Term Substitute Speech Language Pathologist position to cover a leave of absence from approximately October 29, 2026 through January 21, 2027. The position offers $175 per diem for days worked and is a non-benefits eligible, at-will position. The role supports instructional programming by providing speech/language therapy to students with a wide variety of speech and language disorders and student needs. Services will be provided in both general education settings and the Speech office. The position involves performing diagnostic evaluations, implementing treatment plans, and consulting with teachers and school staff. The Speech Language Pathologist will also participate in Team and parent meetings, be responsible for goal writing, and occasionally serve as a liaison for IEPs. Thorough record-keeping of individual student services is required, and assistance with mobility, transitioning, and personal care may be needed. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Communication Disorders, Speech and Language Pathology or a related field.
DESE licensed as Speech Language Pathologist.
Holds Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or has completed requirements and application with ASHA is pending.
Experience and commitment to working in a racially and culturally diverse teaching and learning community.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of AAC preferred.

Responsibilities

Supports Instructional programming by providing speech/language therapy to students as required.
Schedules students into appropriate instructional groups.
Provide therapeutic services in both the general education and Speech office to students with a wide variety of speech and language disorders and student needs.
Performs diagnostic evaluations and implements treatment plans in relation to student needs.
Consults and collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement effective therapy.
Serves as a consultant to school staff members in the development of services.
Participates in Team and parent meetings.
Responsible for goal writing and occasionally serving as liaison for IEPs.
Keep thorough records of the individual student receiving services.
Assists with mobility, transitioning and personal care as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
