About The Position

Baptist Health Rehab Services provides a full range of physical, occupational, and speech therapy services for all ages. Our therapists and assistants are trained in treating neurological, orthopedic, vestibular, lymphedema, pediatrics, industrial medicine, swallowing, and speech and language disorders. The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for identifying, assessing, and treating patients with cognitive-communication and/or swallowing disorders. The SLP also provides counseling/education to patients, caregivers, and staff regarding cognitive-communication and/or swallowing disorders. Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for adults who exhibit cognitive-communication disorders and for neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adults who exhibit feeding/swallowing disorders.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree-Speech Language Pathology
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Must be obtained within 9 months for fulltime employees and 18 months for part-time employees.
  • Current and valid license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Kentucky
  • Maintain Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Must obtain BLS within 30 days

Responsibilities
