About The Position

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for a full-time, school-based opportunity in Golden, CO for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves working with students in Pre-K through 12th grade, supporting their communication skills to ensure successful participation in their school day. The SLP will collaborate with educators and therapists, receiving support from both the school district and the TheraPeds team. The position is for the 2026-2027 school year, with an on-site, in-person setting.

Requirements

  • Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
  • Active or eligible for Colorado Speech-Language Pathologist licensure
  • Appropriate Colorado Department of Education certification or credential for school-based practice, as required
  • Experience working with children
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in use of technology
  • Fingerprint background clearance
  • Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
  • Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program
  • State License as Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Department of Education Licensure as a SLP
  • National License: ASHA Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
  • Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
  • Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.

Nice To Haves

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Clinical Fellowship (CF-SLP) candidates may be considered , with appropriate supervision available
  • School-based experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct speech and language therapy services to students individually and in small groups
  • Conducting speech and language evaluations and assessments
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized IEP goals
  • Evaluating student progress and adjusting intervention strategies based on student needs and data
  • Providing consultation and support to teachers, special education staff, and families
  • Supporting students with articulation, phonology, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, social/pragmatic communication, and other communication needs
  • Supporting students who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), as appropriate
  • Monitoring student performance and collecting data to measure progress
  • Completing timely and accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Participating in IEP, eligibility, reevaluation, and interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Managing assigned student caseloads and required documentation
  • Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, families, therapists, administrators, and other school professionals
  • Providing case management services, as assigned
