The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides speech, language, social communication, AAC, feeding, and functional communication services to students with autism, developmental disabilities, and behavioral needs within BHA Academy. The SLP conducts evaluations, develops individualized treatment plans, provides direct therapy, monitors progress, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and families to promote communication, independence, and educational success. Working within an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) framework, the SLP partners with Behavioral Clinicians, teachers, and support staff to implement evidence-based interventions, communication supports, and behavior strategies throughout the school day. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring the ability to safely supervise students, respond during behavioral crises, maintain continuous alertness, and perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
