About The Position

HealthPro Heritage has a great Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist Opportunity in Lexington, KY. Setting: Retirement Community Therapy Program - care is provided across the full spectrum of care including short-term rehab, skilled nursing, and outpatient services to the local residents of this community. Community info: Conveniently located near medical parks and three major hospitals, this community provides compassionate care and peace of mind. Residents are surrounded by lovely views thanks to our beautiful courtyard and nearby golf course. Our activities program is based on the Six Dimensions of Wellness – physical, cognitive, social, emotional, occupational and spiritual – and is led by loving and compassionate team members. Requirements

Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
