About The Position

HealthPro Heritage has a great Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity. This is a full-time position split between Lutheran Rehabilitation Skilled Care Center in Worcester, MA, and Quaboag in West Brookfield, MA, in a long-term care setting. The role offers a diverse caseload treating both short-term rehabilitation patients and long-term care residents, allowing for sharp and varied clinical skills. SLPs will make a meaningful impact by helping patients regain communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities to improve their quality of life and independence. The position involves working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of PTs, OTs, nursing staff, physicians, and dietitians to create comprehensive care plans in a modern rehab environment with access to necessary equipment and resources. Therapists will build lasting relationships by following patients throughout their recovery journey and celebrating their progress. There are opportunities for clinical growth in areas such as dysphagia management, cognitive-linguistic therapy, communication disorders, and geriatric rehabilitation. As part of HealthPro Heritage, a therapist-led organization, SLPs will receive strong clinical support, mentorship, and continuing education opportunities, including access to over 360 CEUs. Requirements

Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
