About The Position

This is a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position serving students from PreK to 22 years old in Chicago Heights, IL. The role involves providing speech-language therapy services within specialized day school settings, including IES and Transition Programs. The SLP will support students with individualized communication needs, conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, participate in IEP meetings, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. The position offers a consistent Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a duration from August 17, 2026, to June 1, 2027. AnthroMed Education emphasizes clinician support through mentorship, advocacy, and professional resources.

Requirements

  • Active Illinois IDFPR Speech-Language Pathologist license required
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
  • Experience working with students with diverse communication needs is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to students across PreK–22 years
  • Support students at a specialized day school with individualized communication needs
  • Provide services to students K-22 years
  • Assist with preschool walk-in screenings and evaluations as needed
  • Conduct speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers to support student success
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans based on individual needs
