About The Position

The Speech Language Pathologist will enjoy a consistent caseload. Requirements

• Current licensure by NYS
• Current certification by ASHA
• Ability to work effectively with limited on-site supervision

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the I/DD population (2+ years is preferable)
• Dysphagia experience, a big plus
• AAC experience strongly preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and deliver therapy services to adults and school-aged children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes, adult day programs and/or outpatient medical facilities
• Providing individual, family or collateral psychotherapy to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Conducting psychosocial assessments
• Being part of a multidisciplinary team (medical doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, etc.)
