About The Position

Pahokee Health & Rehab is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our exceptional in-house rehabilitation team at our skilled nursing facility in Pahokee, Florida. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP)
  • Active, unrestricted Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state(s) of practice
  • A commitment to ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in line with established standards of practice, department procedures, and productivity expectations
  • Evaluate residents and gather the information needed for effective treatment planning and implementation
  • Develop treatment plans that include a target list along with clear short-term and long-term goals
  • Instruct patients, families, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to support carryover of therapeutic goals into everyday activities
  • Complete compliant, medically necessary documentation that meets CMS expectations within the NetHealth EMR system
  • Oversee and implement proper protocols for FEES/MBS studies in coordination with site programs
  • Participate in screening protocols to ensure resident needs are identified and addressed promptly and with clinical excellence
  • Plan, organize, develop, and direct speech-language pathology services in line with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations
