About The Position

Virginia Mason Franciscan Hospital, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a PRN position. This role is crucial in providing superior patient care that exceeds industry standards and patient expectations. The SLP will assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities, develop and implement treatment plans, educate patients and families, document progress, and collaborate with healthcare teams.

Requirements

• Current state Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
