About The Position

Quality Temp Staffing is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is passionate about helping patients improve their communication abilities and quality of life. The Speech Pathologist will also be expected to follow all infection control and safety guidelines, maintain accurate records, and comply with California Department of Public Health (CA DPH) regulations. Strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to quality care, and maintaining current certification and training are essential.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong documentation and organizational abilities.
  • Proof of Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) if applicable
  • Current CPR Card issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Must have proof of MMR, Varicella vaccinations or titers.
  • Proof of TB/PPD or Chest X-ray within the past 12 Months
  • Current Annual Health Clearance
  • Reliable source of transportation
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred (CFY candidates welcome depending on setting).
  • 1+ year of clinical experience preferred (varies by setting).
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred
  • Newly certified grads welcome to apply

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
  • Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other care team members.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and families on communication techniques and strategies.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Track and report progress toward therapeutic goals and adjust plans as needed.
  • Stay current on best practices and attend continuing education courses as required.
  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with CA DPH regulations and maintain required licensures.
