About The Position

Requirements

Master’s degree or higher in communication disorders or speech-language pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
Verification of 8-week practicum with children and students ages birth-21 in a school setting full time under the supervision of a professionally licensed SLP.
School Speech-Language Pathologist Special Services License issued by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE).
Speech-Language Pathologist License issued by the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).
Valid ASHA CCC-SLP Certification.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the special education teacher in the formation of daily schedules, testing schedules, and annual meetings.
Supply the special education teacher with current speech/language student lists for maintaining a master Special Education list.
Provide specially designed instruction developed to meet the unique needs of each child resulting from their disability, such as resource room, inclusion, and/or pullout services.
