About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support K–8 students in developing essential speech and language abilities throughout the 2026–2027 school year in Chicago, IL. This role involves providing speech-language services in accordance with IEP and 504 minutes, ensuring the delivery of individualized therapy goals. The Speech-Language Pathologist will develop, write, and maintain all speech-related components of IEPs/504 plans, including full IEP development for speech-only students. Additionally, the position requires participation in IEP and 504 meetings, collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication needs. The role also contributes to MTSS processes by supporting early identification, intervention planning, and progress monitoring for students with speech and language needs.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement (K-8)
  • Experience providing school-based speech-language services, including IEP development and caseload management
