About The Position

The Ponce Therapy Care Center is looking for a speech language pathologist (SLP) to join our team! Located in St Augustine, FL, we are a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility that is dedicated to helping our residents maximize their potential and live their lives to the fullest. Requirements

• Current Speech Language Pathologist License in current state.
• Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• At least 3 years of Skilled Nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating the recovery of speech, language, swallowing and cognitive function for the patients who come through our facility.
• Creating, administering, and organizing individualized plans of treatment for patients.
• Instructing clients in techniques for more effective communication, including sign language, lip reading and voice improvement.
• Educating patients and family members about various topics such as communication techniques and strategies to cope with or to avoid personal misunderstandings.
• Communicating with the dietary department regarding rehabilitation lunches for patients with swallow dysfunctions.
