About The Position

United Ability is seeking candidates to join their team as a Speech Language Pathologist for children birth to age 3. In this role, you will be responsible for providing evaluations and speech therapy for children with delays and/or communication needs to recover, develop, or improve independent communication abilities so that the child can reach their maximum independence. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology required
  • Current License to practice Speech Language Therapy in the state of AL.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence or working towards certificate required
  • Basic computer skills and use of EMR required
  • Valid driver’s licenses required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • ABESPA and ASHA licenses preferred
  • Experience working in pediatric speech therapy preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs speech language therapy services for children in homes/community for Early Intervention services
  • Communicates with families regarding child’s progress
  • Promotes maximum independence by implementing quality, individually designed treatment plans and activities
  • Teaches and trains caregivers by demonstration/modeling of activities and providing a home program when appropriate to promote maximum independence
  • Completes required documentation on each child
