Speech Language Pathologist
About The Position
The Speech Pathologist position is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, providing clinical services and communication with patients, families, and other professionals/service providers in the medical community. This professional position will allow you to apply your extensive knowledge and expertise in speech pathology with all of your patients. Yakima MultiCare is looking for a full-time SLP who is interested in furthering their experience in the medical field, working with adults with speech-language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders. Our SLPs split their time between our 238-bed acute-care, not-for-profit hospital and adult outpatient clinic.
Requirements
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association OR be in the process of completing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) with supervision by a CCC-SLP in accordance with standards defined by the ASHA.
- Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Washington or holding an interim permit.
- Current BLS Certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, interpretation, and reporting of clinical observations.
- Perform patient assessments with physician and develop treatment plans.
- Perform and interpret results of Videofluoroscopic swallow studies and fiberoptic endoscopic of swallowing.
- Confer with physician and other health care professionals.
