About The Position

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for supporting students’ communication development in order to enhance their academic, social, and functional success. This role requires the ability to build strong, positive relationships with students, families, and school staff while fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment. The SLP provides both individual and group therapy services and demonstrates expertise in assessment, data interpretation, and documentation. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills are essential to effectively meet the diverse needs of students.

Responsibilities

  • Administer speech-language and communication evaluations for students with, or suspected of having, disabilities
  • Interpret assessment data and develop comprehensive evaluation reports
  • Present findings and recommendations at IEP and 504 team meetings
  • Develop measurable IEP goals and objectives based on student needs
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings
  • Monitor student progress through ongoing data collection and documentation
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of services and student performance
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement appropriate accommodations and modifications
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, addressing questions and concerns
  • Participate in Student Support Team (SST), IEP, and 504 meetings as required
