Speech Language Pathologist - Clinical Fellow
About The Position
Cortica is hiring a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow in Carlsbad, California. The role provides play-based speech and language therapy for children using sensory, motor, and cognitive strategies within a collaborative, transdisciplinary care model. The clinician develops individualized treatment plans, works with families to support communication strategies in daily life, maintains accurate documentation, and consults with professionals across disciplines. Cortica offers a Clinical Ladder Program, mentorship opportunities, and professional growth in clinical leadership, training, and program development.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Passion for collaborative, integrative care and working with neurodivergent populations.
- Strong leadership potential and interest in mentorship and career growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide dynamic, play-based speech and language therapy that integrates sensory, motor, and cognitive strategies.
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with a holistic, transdisciplinary approach to care.
- Educate and empower families so communication strategies extend beyond therapy sessions into everyday life.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and company policies.
- Consult with physicians, nurse practitioners, occupational therapists, physical therapists, music therapists, and ABA professionals to support outcomes for children.
- Contribute to Cortica’s Clinical Ladder Program and opportunities for mentorship, training, and clinical program development.
