About The Position

California Rehabilitation Institute, a joint venture with Cedars, UCLA, and Select Medical, is seeking a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for their Outpatient clinic in Century City/Los Angeles, CA. The clinic specializes in treating patients with neurologic injuries or disorders such as CVA, BI, SCI, and PD, among others. They emphasize coordinated, multidisciplinary care with PT, OT, and SLP services, focusing on a smooth transition through the continuum of care. The ideal candidate will contribute to the clinic's development and growth, be committed to high-quality patient care, value teamwork and communication, and be able to work with minimal supervision. While SLPs with adult neuro experience and specializations are preferred, others may be considered. The role requires the ability to treat all areas of adult SLP practice, including cognitive, speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5:15 pm, with primarily 1:1 patient care, subject to change based on patient needs and market demands. CFY applicants cannot be accommodated at this time.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Certified CLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Nice To Haves

• SLPs with adult neuro experience are preferred, but others may be considered.
• Specializations are preferred but not required.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
• Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
• Coordinate treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services as available community resources.
