About The Position

Boothby Therapy Services is hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based position in Portland, Maine, serving middle and high school students (grades 6–12). This is a unique opportunity offering hybrid flexibility, with the potential to work from home up to 2 days per week. We welcome both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CF-SLP / CFY) interested in pediatric, secondary, and school-based speech therapy. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • CCC-SLP or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CF-SLP)
  • Active Maine SLP license (or eligibility)
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or interest in pediatrics, school-based therapy, teletherapy, or secondary education settings preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide school-based speech-language therapy services to middle and high school students
  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and services
  • Deliver direct therapy services (individual and small group sessions, in-person and/or virtual)
  • Support students with: Receptive and expressive language, Social/pragmatic communication skills, Executive functioning and academic language, Articulation, fluency, and voice disorders
  • Provide virtual/teletherapy services as part of hybrid schedule (when applicable)
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, occupational therapists (OTs), and physical therapists (PTs)
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
  • Communicate regularly with families and caregivers
