About The Position

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) plays a vital role in making communities healthier by evaluating and treating individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. This position supports patient recovery and communication improvement within St. Luke's Health - The Woodlands Hospital, a full-service general hospital recognized for its high-performing care in various adult procedures and conditions. The role is part of Lifepoint Rehabilitation, which is committed to providing exceptional care and prioritizing employee well-being.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current SLP license and ASHA certification.
  • CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in acute or rehab setting preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and clinical judgement required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
  • Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
