About The Position
Boothby Therapy Services is actively hiring Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) throughout Maine for the 2026–2027 school year. They partner with school districts across the state and have opportunities available serving various age groups and specialized programs, including Preschool (PK), Elementary School, Middle School, High School, Mixed PK–12 Caseloads, Specialized Programs, Autism Support Programs, Life Skills Classrooms, and Inclusive Education Settings. Boothby takes a personalized approach to match candidates with positions based on their experience, preferred age group, clinical interests, and geographic location, aiming to find the right fit for each individual. They offer more support than traditional school roles, including a Dedicated Service Delivery Manager, ongoing mentorship, clinical guidance, structured support for Clinical Fellows, collaboration with other professionals, access to therapy resources, and responsive administrative support. Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- CCC-SLP or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CF-SLP/CFY)
- Active Maine SLP License or eligibility
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Nice To Haves
- School-based, pediatric, or special education experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language therapy services to preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school students
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
- Deliver direct therapy services through individual and small-group sessions
- Support students with articulation and phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, social/pragmatic communication, fluency disorders, voice disorders, and AAC and assistive communication needs
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the needs of diverse age groups and developmental levels
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Monitor progress and maintain compliant documentation
- Support students in achieving greater communication, independence, and educational success
