About The Position
Hyde Park Day School is seeking a skilled and student-centered Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team for a full-time, temporary maternity leave coverage this fall. This is a unique opportunity to step into an established program and make an immediate, meaningful impact-helping students strengthen communication skills that directly support their academic progress, social development, and daily success in school. Hyde Park Day School serves bright students with learning disabilities and other specialized learning needs. Our program is designed to support academic growth, communication development, and social-emotional skills through a highly collaborative, student-focused approach.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
- Active Illinois SLP license (required)
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- A collaborative, flexible clinician who can quickly integrate into a team
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with school-aged students strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with student goals
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions
- Collaborate closely with educators and staff to support communication in the classroom
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress
- Support students in building practical communication skills for school and social settings
