Requirements

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
2 years of experience required
SLP - State of California Speech Language Pathologist License required
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
Incumbents who obtained a California Speech Language Pathologist License prior to 1993 will be grandfathered in with their existing education.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a Level I Trauma Center, Comprehensive Burn Center, Inpatient Rehab, Post Acute Rehab, Outpatient Rehab, or Home Health.

Responsibilities

Work alongside a multifaceted team, comprised of seasoned Therapists, mid-career clinicians, and recent graduates.
Utilize expertise to educate the patient and/or the caregiver about the findings of the examination, evaluation, established goals of the speech-language pathology program, plan of treatment, home programs, injury prevention, and more.
Be an effective communicator willing to collaborate with other members of the care team.
