About The Position

Requirements

  • Current unrestricted CA Speech Therapist License
  • Current BLS/CPR Certification
  • Valid CA Driver's License
  • Knowledge and understanding of individual development and human behavior as it relates to the effects of illness/injury; and of the influence of culture on health care.
  • Prior to scheduling an in-person interview, all Candidates are required to complete a computer literacy and competency assessment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of state and federal homecare regulatory guidelines preferred.
  • Experience in home health care is highly preferred.
  • Experience with high acuity patients is a plus.
  • Experience working with an interdisciplinary team is highly desired.
  • Case Management fundamentals is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled services to assist patients with breathing, speaking, and swallowing functions in partnership with the Case Manager.
  • Evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, and fluency disorders that affect communication.
  • Serve as an educator, patient advocate, and a member of the interdisciplinary care team.
