About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to join the multidisciplinary team at the Baylor Grapevine Day Neuro Clinic. The program helps patients achieve their highest level of independence and reintegrate into the community following acquired brain injuries and spinal cord injuries. The patient population may have aphasia, cognitive-communication impairments, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, mobility and balance deficits, weakness, decreased endurance, spasticity, abnormal tone, postural instability, other neuromuscular impairments, upper-extremity limitations, and difficulty with functional mobility and activities of daily living. Patients receive comprehensive, team-based care and may participate in up to six hours of therapy per day, Monday through Friday. This is a PRN role with weekday availability. Typical hours are between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM. The PRN rate is $60 per hour.

Requirements

Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association, or eligibility for certification pending professional experience.
Certified BLS, or completion within the first 90 days of employment.
Strong communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Weekday availability.
