About The Position
Colonial Manor is seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their therapy team. This role involves providing exceptional care to both inpatient and outpatient populations in a skilled nursing facility. The SLP will have the opportunity to help patients with communication, swallowing, and cognitive function, supported by resources and a collaborative environment. Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state SLP license (or license eligibility)
- CCC-SLP preferred; Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply if supervision is available
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate, positive attitude and commitment to helping patients achieve their highest level of independence
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, physical and occupational therapists, patients, and families to provide outstanding care.
- Document patient progress accurately and efficiently.
- Educate patients and caregivers to promote continued success beyond therapy.
