About The Position

Independence Rehab is actively seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support our therapy team at Bethany at Pacific in Everett, and Cascades at St. Anne in Seattle. Both are highly respected skilled nursing facilities. In this role you are welcome to float between both facilities or just work at one. Requirements

• Current Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Organized, self-directed, and patient-focused
• Passion for working with the geriatric population

Nice To Haves

• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred, but motivated clinicians with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
• Competency training available - support provided for clinicians new to or growing within the SNF setting

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and dysphagia-related needs
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care focused on safety, function, and quality of life
• Conduct swallowing evaluations and recommend appropriate diet modifications and compensatory strategies
• Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and therapy teams to support resident care plans
• Provide education to residents, families, and staff as appropriate
