PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
About The Position
Fox Subacute at Mechanicsburg is a 55-bed facility specializing in the care of clinically complex respiratory and ventilator-dependent patients. We are seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to help our residents enhance their functional abilities. The SLP will collaborate with the entire rehabilitation department, treating patients who have limitations in eating, swallowing, mobility, or other functional activities. The role involves ensuring ongoing competence and staying current with field knowledge, effectively instructing patients in swallowing or physical exercises, and identifying patient needs with compassion, care, and empathy.
Requirements
- Current PA License is Required.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the entire rehab department.
- Treat patients with conditions that limit their ability to eat, swallow, move or perform other functional activities.
- Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge.
- Instruct patients effectively in swallowing or physical exercises.
- Identify patient’s needs and exhibit compassion, care, and empathy to all individuals.
